St Sergius has seen Our Lady, accompanied the apostles Peter and Joan. He fell on the knees. The Our Lady said him, that his prayers were heard.

This icon is considered as a patroness of the militarians. According to the legend, the icon with this plot was taken to in a campaign on Kazan by King John IV (Terrible).
