The icon represents Christ in blessing with left hand resting on a book. A strict and laconic image of the Savior is painted on a highest professional level. The painter achieved a tremendous deepness of the image. Thin and elegant features of the face are shaded by the silver of the nimbus.

The high level of painting. The icon was cleaned from the darkened layer of drying oil.
In the bottom part of an icon one can find the signature of the icon painter and the date readable as 1847.
