First half of the 19th century. Central Russia.
Wood, lewkas, tempera.
Painted with egg tempera. Good condition.
Size: 28,5x20x2,8 cm.



The word Paraskeva means actually the 5th day of the week in Greek language or Friday. It is just as the result of a misconception among early Eastern Slavs that Paraskeva has transformed into an actual Saint figure - Paraskeva-Friday.
