10. Zosima and Sabaty

Late 18th – beginning 19th century. Northern Russia (Pomorie).
The oklad is simultaneous with an icon.
Wood, lewkas, tempera, oklad (brass with silvering).
Size: 32 x 28 x 2,8 cm.



This icon is painted in a traditional manner, typical for the 16-17th century. It is a beautifully rendered and complex icon. The level of painting is highly professional.
On an icon are represented - sacred Zosima and Sabbaty, who are the founders of Solovecky Monastery.

This icon has collection significance.
